About IEA
Intergovernmental Organisation · Global
The International Energy Agency (IEA) is an autonomous intergovernmental organisation of 31 member countries, founded in 1974 within the OECD framework to coordinate energy security policy. It collects and publishes comprehensive annual energy statistics covering production, trade, transformation, and consumption for all energy carriers, as well as CO₂ emissions from energy combustion, for over 150 countries. A subset of its data is freely accessible via the IEA Data and Statistics portal; full datasets require subscription.
