About Met Office Hadley Centre & UEA CRU

Climate Research Institutions · Great Britain / Global

The Met Office Hadley Centre and the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit (CRU) jointly produce HadCRUT, the leading global surface temperature record combining land surface air temperatures (from CRU) and sea surface temperatures (from the Hadley Centre). The dataset covers the globe from 1850 to the present using quality-controlled station and marine data, and is widely used as a benchmark for global mean temperature change. The latest version (HadCRUT5) is freely available for download.
